Venezuelan Generals Who Backed Carmona as President are SOA Grads Army Commander in Chief Efrain Vasquez and General Ramirez Poveda, two of the major military backers of the coup that brought Pedro Carmona to the Presidency for two days, received training at the US Army School of the Americas (SOA).   Vasquez attended the school from January 23rd to December 2nd, 1988, taking a course called "Command and General Staff Officer Training".  General Ramirez took a course called "Auto Maintenance Officer Training" from May 8th to August 11th, 1972. It should be marked clearly on the outside of the envelope if it contains books or reference material.*** The area code for general information for the prison has also changed to 859-255-6812. ***Shortly forms will be sent to those people who will be able to visit Margaret to be filled out for the prison. Margaret emphasizes that a prison or police record will not keep anyone from being able to visit, but it will if it is not reported on this form.*** A reminder-- Light a candle for solidarity with the SOA 10 on Thursday evenings 7-8 (in your time zone). *** Hopefully the prison will make this the final address, and there will be no more changes to report.
