Honors
        Dorothy Virginia Granada
        Dorothy has been the recipient of numerous awards and other recognitions of her efforts in peace, empowerment, and health care, including:
        1997 - International Pfeffer Peace Prize of the Fellowship of Reconciliation
        1998 - One of the World's One Hundred Heroines, designated bythe City of Rochester, New York
        2001 - Dr. Hugo Behm Award of the Central American Institute of International Health 
        2003 - Recognition by the Nicaraguan National Assembly for her contribution to women's and children's health 
        2007 - Order of Ruben Dario  given by the Nicaraguan government (highest award given by the government) for her contributions to the health rights of Nicaraguan women
        2007 - Best Practices in Global Health Award from the Global Health Council, received by Dorothy on behalf of the Maria Luisa Ortiz Clinic
        2008 - (Oct) Doctor of Divinity, honoris causa.  This degree is the highest honor that the General Theological Seminary bestows in recognition of her humanitarian work in the fields of healthcare and women's rights and for distinguished service in the Episcopal Church.
