Fr. Bill says,
“Show up!
Get involved!”

Father Bill (January 2, 1930–December 8, 2003) was the patron saint of peace and social justice activism. The image you see above is classic Fr. Bill, aviator shades, brown leather jacket, miachevious grin, Irish feistiness and all. His rules for a successful vigil, demonstration or action: 1. Show up, 2. Meet someone new, & Have fun!

Ecumenical Peace Institute is a leading and vital organization in the Bay Area peace and justice community. As much as we have done, we can do more. But we need your help and your participation. We orgainze annual Good Friday Interfaith Services in Livermore and Fall Dinners. We hold monthly “Living Graveyards” to invoke the names of the dead. We sponsor special events, such as the upcoming “Poetry for Peaxce and Justice” benefit for Haiti Relief.

We’re looking to form a core Working Group to help with tasks both great and small, from helping with mailings, tableing at our events, to organizing and promoting new ones. Some of  you will end up on our Board of Directors!

We're looking for diversity in race, lay/clergy, age — the more we reflect the community, the better we may serve it.

Times of increasing hatred and violence call for increasing love and healing, action as well as words, music as well as words.

Join us. Let us know how you can add your time, energy, talent and skills. The least is as important as the greatest. All are welcome!
